Description
The magnificent QUINTA DO VESUVIO estate was among the very first in the Douro region to be planted in the early 1970’s by single varietals, each on a part of the vineyard best suited to it. With these and more recent plantings now having attained perfect maturity, the Symington family has decided to use a blend of these to make a classic dry red wine of the standing that could be expected of the most famous and historic quinta of the Douro, Bunch selected by hand and vinified in our new gravity flow fermenters, this QUINTA DO VESUVIO 2008 Douro DOC has spent twelve months in new French oak prior to bottling. Only 10,800 bottles have been produced.
