Description

Fresh red fruits, such as raspberries and cherries, but includes hints of fresh herbs and black pepper. The flavorful medium body has firm structure with a satisfying finish. Though immediately pleasurable, one can readily enjoy Mount Hermon Red over three years from the harvest. Yarden is Hebrew for the Jordan River, which bisects the Golan Hts Galilee. A fabulous value composed of Cabernet, Malbec, and Malbec, primarily from young vines. It boasts luscious black currant fruit, raspberries. All this intermixed with smoke, herbs, and cedar. Yarden Mount Hermon was produced from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a small amount of Cabernet Franc, all grown in the Golan Heights. The cool climate, rocky volcanic soil and high altitude are ideal conditions for growing classic wine grape varieties. Moderately early pressing yields a wine with good color and ample fruit that can be enjoyed without extensive aging. To preserve the quality of the wine, this bottle should be stored on its side in a cool, dark place. Best served at 55-60 degrees. The Mount Hermon Red is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Most of the fruit came from the central Golan vineyards Yonatan, Tel Phares, Allone Habashan, Kidmat Zvi and the northern Golan vineyard Ortal. Kosher For Passover
