Our single vineyard estate in the cooler, elevated northeast of Mclaren Vale has twelve individual blocks of Shiraz. Each block is defined by different aspects and subtle variations of our sand and ironstone soils that overlie the ancient North Maslin Sands geological formation. These ancient soul layers combine with cool air flowing down from the nearby ranges to produce Shiraz with finesse and rich texture. A very profoundly intense nose with immense fragrance and spice, darker brambly berry fruits and an almost chalky mineral edge. The palate has a very strong core of sturdy tannin, deep-set dark berry fruit flavors heads into dark cherry and plum territory. tight, long and powerful.
