Spicy aromas of cardamom and thyme are also present, as are hints of anise and licorice. French oak barrel aging provides tobacco and smoky notes. Silky, ripe tannins play off the fruitiness. The words concentrated, full-bodied and rounded come to mind. An ultra-long finish renders this beautiful wine elegant and profound.
