Description
This Sonoma County Chardonnay has aromas of red apples and pears with cream. Because of its balance, it is incredibly versatile with food. It has enough weight to hold up to richer seafood like scallops and lobster, but maintains enough bright tartness to complement more delicate dishes like grilled halibut. After being hand harvested, these grapes were loaded in to presses as whole clusters and lightly squeezed to release their juice. This juice was transferred to small, neutral barrels for fermentation These grapes were grown in California’s Sonoma County, a location known for its cool nights and morning fog from the nearby Pacific Ocean.
