Since its foundation in 1729, the first established House of Champagne has taken pride in the excellence of its cuvées. The Ruinart taste bears the signature of Chardonnay, the thread that runs through all its blends and produces pure and intense wines of remarkable aromatic freshness. As the emblem of the House, Blanc de Blancs is the perfect expression of the Ruinart taste and is comprised of 100% Chardonnay grapes grown primarily with Premiers Crus. Harvest Notes The blend is 100% Chardonnay from various years (20 to 25% of which are wines reserved from the 2 previous years). The Chardonnay grapes are largely Premiers Crus from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims vineyards for aromatic refinement, supplemented by Sézannais wines known to provide maturity. Finally, several wines from the north of the Vesle valley give a light, fresh touch. Pairs With Generally speaking, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs is sublimated by subtle, light and tonic flavors, & delicate and ethereal textures that allude to crunchiness and tenderness, making it a perfect champagne for aperitifs. It is an excellent accompaniment for seafood and shellfish; perfect with a sea bass or bream tartare, or seared sole. Tasting Notes With a unique aromatic richness, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs has a surprisingly intense and fresh first nose. Notes of lemon and citron beautifully combine with aromas of pineapple and passion fruit underlined by fresh spices like ginger.
