Description
Ruby red with garnet hues. The impact is intense. At a first approach notes of cherry, plum and violet appear very powerful; subsequently it denotes strong aromas of tobacco, chocolate, cinnamon and black pepper. On the whole, this wine shows a very complex and powerful nose. Full-bodied, very powerful in the fruity tastes, with tannins that are elegant and well linked to a good acidity. The final is characterized by pleasant sensations of sweet tobacco. The aftertaste is particularly long and shows powerful notes of plums and more light aromas of clove. The style is a bit modern with black peppery tones, plum, tobacco and dark cocoa tones. The grape cepage is true to Chianti Classico. The Ruffino Family has been part of the Tuscan history for centuries.The Gold Label was first release in 1947 showing the very best that the Estate could produce from the Chianti Classico vineyards.
