This medium-to-full bodied wine offers firm, juicy tannins and bright acidity and is overflowing with tangy raspberry, cherry, blueberry and freshly cracked white pepper flavors. Exceptional balance and a velvety textured culminate with a lengthy, satisfying finish. Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Petite Sirah. The R Collection Field Blend harkens back to the early days in California viticulture when vineyards had several different varietals planted together, and an entire vineyard would be harvested and vinified together, often producing remarkably unique wines from multiple varietals. Our winemaking team has revived this tradition of blending multiple varietals together to produce a standout wine. The 2013 R Collection Field Blend elegantly brings together 5 core varietals: Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Petite Sirah for a wine that is layered and complex.
