Glenmorangie Milsean is the first Glenmorangie ever to be extra-matured in deeply toasted wine casks–and its hints of sweet and spicy character are reminiscent of the sugared delights in tall glass jars which once decked the shelves of every traditional confectioner’s store. Aroma: At full strength, perfumed, sweet and spicy with hints of sugar cane, ripe fruits, candied lemon and fudge. With water, more candied sweetness (sugared plums, buttery coconut, sweet lemon and limes, exotic ripe melon). Taste: A thick buttery, oily texture with a hint of spices. Luscious candy-like flavor followed by a mix of tart plummy fruit, candied orange peel, cherries and then more fruits like peaches and nectarines. Finish: Long and spicy, always with sweetness in the background: ginger, brown sugar, sweet tobacco and cake mix flavors.
