The name of our second wine honours Baron Hector de Brane, who owned the estate in the 19th century. Blended from vats carefully selected for their suppleness, it is aged just like the First Wine, but for a 12-month period. TASTING NOTES A deep ruby colour with violet tints, showing remarkable intensity. A highly aromatic nose with black fruit aromas (blackberries and cassis) and delicate floral notes. Vanilla and spices are present on the second nose. The attack is full and round, and the mid-palate very generous, with sweet tannins. This is a well-balanced and full-flavoured wine. Brane’s great success in this vintage is down to the terroir, which leads grapes to ripen early. The fact that we included 68% of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend of Brane-Cantenac bears witness to its beautiful maturity, and to the excellent work that was done in the vineyard.
